ACHIEVEMENTS

The Hydrology Project-I (HP-I) was financed under an IDA Development credit Agreement and Project Agreement between the World Bank and Government of India and the Nine participating states including Chhattisgarh. The agreements were signed on 22 Sept. 1995. The project was to be implemented by end of 31 March 2002. The project was extended for one more year i.e. up to 31 March 2003, further the closing date of project is again extended up to 31 December 2003 with a view to complete the project's objectives as well remaining activities for meaningful way to focus operationalization of Hydrological Information System (HIS).

Aims and Objective

          The main objective of the Hydrology Project-I was to develop comprehensive, easily assessed and user-friendly database covering all respect of Hydrological cycle including, surface and ground water in term of quality, quantity and climatic measurements.
